Choosing the Right Cutter to Meet Your Production Needs

With so many choices in the market today and all of the different types of substrates, how does a company choose the perfect cutter?  We here at Foster have developed an easy way to help make your decision easier.  The first question is whether to choose a rotary trimmer, cutter bar, or vertical cutter.  As a general rule of thumb, we like to say: If it can be cut with a pair of scissors, you are in the market for a rotary trimmer.  If the material requires a utility blade for cutting, you are in the market for  a vertical cutter or cutter bar.

At Foster, we offer an assortment of different cutters based on your production needs.  Depending on your production level, substrates and size constraints of your shop, we have the perfect cutter for you.  Our cutters are designed with the best materials and precision in mind.  They can handle multiple types of substrates – from flexible and fabric to rigid and semi-rigid.  Some of our Trimmer models are designed specifically for high-volume shops or for those over-sized materials.  Other Trimmers we offer are designed with a high-precision standard which typically is needed when creating trade show  point-of-purchase displays.

As always, Foster is here to answer any of your questions you may have regarding our cutters or trimmers.  We can be reached either by the number below or by any of our social media channels.
